Good morning...
Lets target to reach 25k by the end of this week.
800 more to get to 20K = 8 contributions @100 each, and then
5000 more to get to 25k = 50 contributions @100 each
And we have "thousands" of registered members
And there are "hundreds of thousands" of people who benefited from last year's July visa bulletin due to IV's efforts.
Folks, now more than ever, we need you to be just a little less self centered and open up your hearts, not for some other people, but your own cause.

As far as i know it should not matter when it comes to labor ..i mean which country u are from ... correct me if i am wrong ...i just wanted to say there is a movement ... i am sure not everyone is on trackiit ... i see this as a +ve thing

Bank Of America denied my car loan. They want only US citizens or GC holders. I have EAD and apparently its not good at all for anything. I can't even get my drivers license. The DMV is waiting for a response from DHS, until then I have to find other means to go to work.
The other day at walmart, I paid my groceries, as usual with the credit card, so the walmart person wanted to see my ID. I missed the boat in 2007. I think the bigger point here is that people vent their frustration of their GC journey only in a blog hiding their identity. When it comes to real work of meeting people, most hide under their bed..
If the July 2007 fiasco hadn't happened, we wouldn't have had this mess. Most waiting on GC would have quit and gone home making the line shorter :rolleyes:

I think even if the July fiasco wouldn't have happened we would have been in the same situation. Who would want to leave this country and go back. Many people who have applied in EB3 in 2004 -2006 know that they are stuck for another 6 - 15 years but they are still willing to wait.

I feel that initiator of this thread is not trying a coup d'�tat. He is merely pointing to the fact that every organization runs by elected officials. Having a life term president and core group is only heard in autocratic systems but not in a democratic one. What are we as an organization?
Why are we afraid of discussing new ideas? Why shouldn't we open up IV organization for elections? There is nothing wrong in declaring the rules and then playing by those rules.
So I completely support the guy who came up with this suggestion.

Ok then, why did you come to America to study at Duke? Why did you spend all this money? The reason our people invest crores of rupees in American education is that it is better.
You people seem to be too nationalistic. Even with the comments about quotas. Affiirmative action with 52% of all seats being reserved based on caste? You call this fair?
OK, before you jump at me, and accuse me of being "you people", read my earlier post. I had a scholarship at Duke because my education from the 'garbage' college in India was deemed to be comparable to a 4.0 GPA here. As far as affirmative action is concerned, you have it here too.

Cases are being pre-adjucated, So there are RFEs and other inquiries...After this, they will wait for visa number in PD Queue....which is a good thing...This assures there will be no wastage this year....
Anycase, it looks like there will be significant forward movement...

It means they have used 90K Visa out of 140-150K ..it means 50K visa left for next 5 month..not sure how much visa dates wlll be moved.
Let me help you here: the USCIS receive 2.5 million applications in july and august 2007 ('The surge'). For most of the ones who applied, I don't think we will see the dates move much in the near future... But I don't know so, keep the faith. Miracles are still possible

correct, its going to take atleast 2 months even in the fastest cases of 485 approvals. With a March 2003 PD his best hope is that he becomes current again 6 months or so from now and does not get stuck in namecheck
From what I understand many 485 applications(not all)received in accordance to the June bulletin MAY have been preassigned a visa number(from the leftover 60,000 visas) NOT an approval.Although they are not supposed to pre assign numbers without name checks etc, is'nt it obvious that they might have done that??. They have a lot of cases to approve until Sept 30(from that 60,000 number)
