Hello?
I entered U.S with B1/B2 visa and got changed into F1 status. While F1 status got approved
I departed U.S due to family matter.
Now I'd like to make it sure that my B1/B2 visa is still valid,because I plan to visit to my friend who lives in U.S.
How to check my B1/B2 visa could be remained still valid?

My I140 (Bachelor degree, EB3, PD: Nov'04) was approved last month from my previous employer.
I completed my MBA in Jun'06 and joined another company; my job description has changed totally and I can't use previously approved labor for my new job. My new employer will initiate the process of labor, next week.
I checked with my previous employer and he informed me that he is ready to give me a support letter, if I want to go ahead and file I485 based on EB3 I140.
Questions:
Is it possible to file I485, even if we are not working with the employer?
Once I have filed I485 based on my EB3 I140, and if the application remains pending for next 6 months, is it still possible to port the PD (Nov'04) to the new EB2 based petition?

I hyphenated my name while I was applying for a green card. All of my Canadian documents like my passport and my Canadian photo ids like my Ontario drivers license and health card are all in my maiden name. Can I bring my green card alone with no other documents or do I need some other government issued id? The only thing that has my current name is my green card. What do I need to get a license.

I have a few questions about my case.
I have a 3year degree in Bachelors of Science (Maths) and a 1 year degree in BS in Computer Information systems from Golden Gate University in (San Francisco, CA). However at the time of my GC filing, my lawyer advised me that i cannot file for EB2 but for EB3, since my bachelors degree does not evaluate to a 4 year US degree (based on the single source rule). So i had to file my I-140 in EB3.
Recently i read an article on murthy.com http://www.murthy.com/news/n_combdg.html this article clearly mentions that the person I-140 was denied by USCIS but the AAO overturned the case. I asked my lawyer about this, she says that even thought the person had two degree, they were from the same university, but from my understanding ethiraj college is an autonomous university.
I have a feeling my case is similar, what do you'll think i should do..

Dude / Dudette.. I dont work for MSFT but the general thing is .. wait for 180 calender days post your I485 and make a move using AC21. You don't have any provisions to move with AC21 anyways. Take it easy.

The analysis of census data from both the U.S. and Mexican governments, being released Wednesday by the Pew Hispanic Center, highlights the impact of the economic downturn on Mexican immigrants, many of whom enter the United States illegally. The study found that immigrants arriving from Mexico fell by 249,000 from March 2008 to March 2009, down nearly 60 percent from the previous year. I had a 221g in 2000 and submitted all the docs. I got response in 2002 (After 2 years :eek:) . I had just 10 months left on my H1 that time. So we will never know. But situation in 2000 was different. I am not discouraging you but telling how hard these 221gs will be. I hope its not that bad these days and you may get response soon.

Is there any way to know if 140 revoked after approval.is there any change in LUD ?
Put the reciept # in the USCIS online case status, if you see a LUD, check the case status, you might be able to see the "new text/info"
