    Could anyone please provide me some links that have information about future employement green cards? I am working with a consultant who is willing to work with me on this but wants more information about the process.

    You can do anything (including doing nothing). However it is the norm to work for the sponsoring employer (or the latest employer if you used AC21) for 6 month to 1 year to ensure that no question arises in future regarding the legitimacy of the job offer based on which your GC was approved.

    Could someone tell me please.....I'm filling the application for advance parole the first time......what should I write where it is written: " Date of intended departure"...if I dont know exactly when I'm leaving....should I write a date or should I write " I dont know yet?"

    And also I read that the documents required are 2 photos, I-485 receipt notice, I-140 approval notice.....is that right? or what other documents do I need?

    I would highly appreciate your help!

    go ahead Brainiacs..

    Correct me I am wrong here:

    AP allows you to enter US without a valid visa.
    EAD allows you to work in US for any employer.

    Untill and unless someone utlizes his EAD, he is still on H1 (if he has valid H1) doesn't matter he enters US using AP. Am I correct?

    Then question arrises, If H1 holder changes his job then he needs to transfer his H1 only and not use EAD. Is this possible to have H1 renewed and transfered even though one has EAD approved, meaning is it compulsory to use EAD one you get it?

    My labor/I-140 documents show my salary to be 85K, I am yet to receive my I-140 approval from Nebraska Processing Center, filed in June 2006 under EB-2. Would it cause any problems when I file my I-485 ( priority date March 2004 ) next year if the salary for 2006 is less than 85K ? I was unemployed for two months this year unexpectedly. Thank you for your responses.

    Hi,

    I have filed my H1 (premium processing)on 26th Sep and till now I didn't receive my H1 receipt.

    What could be the reasons and how i Can track about my case.

    Can I track my case? is there some number where i can call discuss about my case why I didn't receive my receipt

    My Lawyer called the USCIS and they are saying that they are not able to generate the receipt number?

    Is somebody else faced the same issue? what could be done now?

    How do we identify EB3 or EB2 category in approved I-140 ?

    In Section , it was written as "Sec. 203 (b) (3) (A) (i) or (ii) ".

    Not able to figure it out.

    I sent the applications(I-140,I-485,I-131,I-765)to Nebraska center 3 weeks ago and it was received by them on December 17,2007(because I tracked the FedEx package).Until today,no receipts yet and my checks are not cashed yet and the receipting update says Current for Nebraska, is the normal or there is something wrong?

    Hi,

    I had submitted my I-140, I485 and my wife's I-485/I-131/I-765 together. USCIS accepted everything but the I-131 form, which they returned saying that they couldn't located the I-485 application. Now, I have the receipt number for I-485. If I send I-131 back now, can I still use the old check? The old check is endorsed but was not deposited (they returned it).

    To think of it, it is not my fault that they couldn't find the I-485 though it was in the same application packet.

    I will appreciate any insight.

    Hello everyone,

    Can anyone look into this and suggest me ??

    My Wife is planning to go for COS H1B to L2(i am on L1) due to the Job market.As suggested by a person in the forum i am planning to file COS E-filing from H1B to L2 and EAD while in USA.

    So My Query is

    1) Do we need to wait for L2 to be approved before she can leave the country ?? Or just we file L2 and EAD and she leaving country and come back on L2 with stamp once it is approved(i would like to send L2 Approval by Post)
    2) What is the process of L2 Stamping in India after recieving approval notice (what are the documents needed) and how long does it take
    3)Will above process effect her EAD progress ??

    Please suggest
