The big news is that the masters cap was hit as of December 24th. I had been predicting since last summer that this 20,000 quota would be hit in the last week of the year and the pace of usage stayed extremely consistent. The general quota has 7,700 visas of 65,000 remaining as of December 31st and the rolling four week average is now running at just over 1500. Hi,
As most of you know, there is a conference call today(Sunday) at 3:00 EST. Please obtain the details of WHERE TO CALL and PASSCODE by calling 281-576-7185 if you do not have it already.
During the conference call: (The moderator would cover this but a little heads up never hurt anyone :) )
1. Please avoid using the speakerphone. It creates echo. :)
2. Press 4 * (four star) after joining the call to go on MUTE mode. When you want to speak press 4 * again and your line would be unmuted. You would help greatly by muting your line when listening to avoid the noise/sounds chiming in from about 80-100 lines.:)

Hi guys,
I am new to WPF. Pls help me in this.
I want to dynamically load any .xaml file which had 3D object. Now I am selecting one sample .xaml file using opendialog box. I rendered the Content to the window. Now I am able to do Zoom and Pan. But I am unable to do rotation.
Pls help me in this.

If I file my I-485 through my lawyer, will I have to be with him for all subsequent EAD/AP renewals as well or can I renew them on my own?

Hi all, I have a question regarding my current situation. I'm currently working for this non-profit organization under my OPT that is good until the end of Oct of this year. My question is basically whether or not I can ask my employer (already agreed) to petition for me for an H1-b visa? Can I still apply right now before my OPT expires or would it be better to apply next year on the first day of April? If I can get an approval for my H1-b would it be good to get a TN in the meantime and later have my employer petition me for an h1-B then?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to waste the opportunity to apply if I can get one at this time. I heard is better and easier to apply for one while under OPT than TN to H1-B but I'm not sure or rather confused about this!

Hi friends,
I completed my Masters degree this May 08 and started working on opt for a company A. Meanwhile another company B filed for my H1 and it got approved. But i would now like to continue working for my current company A.
1. On what status would i be on October 1?
2. Could i continue working for Company A on my OPT even after October 1?

As far as I know it does not matter what company profile is, it only matters what type of job they have and if they able to pay as required for the period of time they apply for.

I am curently on h1b visa on 7th year.My i-140 got approved 3years back and filed i-485 in 2007 and waiting for gc.Now if i switch my job to different employer using my EAD,Can my previous employer revoke my i-140 affecting my gc processing.Does he still have control to withdraw.Can you please help on this.Thanks.
Employer can withdraw anytime. But you should be OK with AC21 provisions.

Hi All,
We have sent AOS, EAD and AP applications for my wife and me on August 7th. So far, we have received receipt notices for EAD, AP and AOS for my wife only with Notice Date of September 17th. To my surprise the Priority Date field is left blank on all the receipt notices. Just wanted to check with others who have received their spouse's receipt notices if this is usual and nothing to worry about.

My lawyer received an RFE on my EB3/RIR labor cert on priority date 01/26/04In Feb sometime and responded back exactly on the last day (03/01/07) it was due. I have not heard anything back from DBEC since then. Anyone here have any idea how much time they take to approve the labor after RFE is responded back, if at all they do approve it? I know couple of my friends in CA who got their labor approved within a month after their RFE was responded back. My labor was filed from WI.
Please post your experiences if anyone experienced this before. The RFE was about company's financial document. I am not worried about the financial status of the company as it is doing pretty good from last 3-4 years consistently.

Need advice ...I am currently on H1 B.
six years back (on F-1) I started working 2 business days prior to my CPT started.... Unfortunately ... that meant I did work unauthorized for a couple of days. Now I am at a stage where I need to use CPT experience to apply for PERM. Would stating the actual start date on form 9089 (which happens to be 2 days prior to actual CPT start date listed on I 20) pose any future issues?
CAn I be granted lineancy (something like 245K) if in in future this lapse becomes evident to U S C I S. How seriously would this minor violation be treated?
