TSC 485 processing date says Aug 17,2007.
Does it mean, they reviewed almost all cases before Aug 16,2007?
My receipt date is Aug 13,2007. Notice date is Oct 10,2007.
So wondering whether they touched my case or still not?

My wife currently is on an H1-B visa and she also has EAD/AP based on my I-485 filing. Due to personal reasons she plans to quit her job soon (next 2-3 weeks or so). What will be her status? Should we be filing COS to H-4? Can we get a RFE for proof of her employment when I-485 is processed?

One can contiue to stay using I-485 receipt without valid I-94. afasik I-797 can be used only if you filed H1 extention after you came back on parolee.
If a person travels on AP, he will get a new PAROLE I-94 which shows expiry date of 1 year from the day he entered on AP. Can the person stay in US AFTER that expiry date and continue working using a valid I-797?

I have 3yrs degree(Microbiology) and one year postgraduation diploma in computer science and 9years of work experience, Can I apply on EB2, some peolple saying at I-140 stage it gets problemetic with your degree, my employer says you can eligible to apply on EB2, Iam in real dilama, can any one please help me... thanks
I tend to think that your I140 in EB2 will be a problem. Specially so if your filing center is Nebraska. They have a reputation to be very very strict. Ask your employer if he has previously approved cases for people with your background.

Yes, that is accurate. You cannot convert from a Student Visa (F1 visa) to a Resident Visa (Green Card). The F1 visa is not a dual intent Visa. You have to have and H1B or L1 Visa to apply for a resident visa. Generally it is taking Chinese citizens who apply for residency in the employee based 3 or 2 categories. (EB3 or EB2) several years to get their GCs.

As of July 1, 2009, all LCAs for H-1B and E-3 cases will need to be submitted through the iCERT portal (http://icert.doleta.gov/) and that means the end of instant LCA certifications.
This has very important implications for the timing of H-1B and E-3 applications as they relate to new hires and extensions. Employers will need to allow for delays in LCA certifications of at least 7 days rather than the instant certifications that were previously issued.

My aunt (father�s sister) is separated (not divorced) from her husband for over 17 years now. She and her 24 year old son (who was 7 years old when his parents separated) live with our family for last 17 years. Her application for visitor visa was rejected in year 2003 when I had invited her to attend my graduation ceremony. At that time I had not sent a sponsor letter. I have invited her to visit me again and this time I am sponsoring for her visit. She owns a house in India and her son owns a business.
Would her marital status (separated but not divorced) create any issues during the interview?

According to a FAQ on Murthy.com about the Yates memo, it is possible to switch jobs (using AC21) if 140 and 485 have both have been pending 180 days. Murthy doesn't advise this under normal circustances because if an RFE is received on the 140, then it is problematic if you've left the company.

Hi,
I'm trying to bend text into a circle. I want the text to be standing up and then to spin the camera around the outside of the text.
Is there anyway I can bend the text in swift 3d into a circle or do I need to produce each letter seperately and then rotate and position?
Or, can I import the bent (circular) text from another application then 3d ify it in swift 2.0 ?

There is no change really for Advance Parole applicants.
The form 131 is used for more than just AP applicants, its used for refugees and re-entry permits too.
Read this from page 2 of that memo.
Q. Do the revised Form I-131 instructions require advance parole applicants to complete biometrics?
A. Applicants for advance parole are not required to submit biometrics at this time. An applicant for advance parole must continue to submit two identical color photographs of the applicant taken within 30 days of the filing of the Form I-131 application.
