Its all politics my dear. Dont take the votes as it is. All these are eyewash and most of it were decided even before they vote. Why you think they have minority and majoirty leader. Those are the key people along with certain key senators / congressmens.
Election is the major event which affects everyone in the senate or congress. First eveyone wants to please their constituents and win and retain their seat. This is the first and foremost priority than passing the SKIL bill at this time. Be practical and I myself will do the same if I were a politician.

Several exciting initiatives are underway on the healthcare front, and we also invite professionals from other fields(apart from healthcare). However, y'all must take up leadership and lead these efforts via IV as the platform!
The agenda should align with general objectives of IV, and we welcome professionals from fields. Please spread the word among the nursing/PT and other communities.
IV is not restricted to any one nationality alone!!(But, please restrict your conversations to English)

I'm sure the language should be worked out by USCIS as to whats best and whats not. Perhaps the "continous residency rule in US" need to be enacted. If a person leaves the country for a certain amount of time when on H1B may be > 6 months or 1year would loose his PD.
But atleast the proposal need to be before the rule makers

My guess is in Oct or Nov 2007 PD would retrogress to jan/may-2004 for EB3 India. So hang in there guys!!..They will approve a lot of cases with older RD by Sept 30. They are hell bent on not wasting any visa numbers henceforth."
PD for EB3 India in the June Visa Bulletin was 1st June 2003, meaning all those whose Priority Date on the LC on or before 01st June 2003 are eligible to apply for the next 2 stages.

No dear friend...what if you are already inside this country and waiting for 10 years. Even if you become a manager in these companies, you wont be eligible as you had to have at least one year outside the country. So progressing not going to help. How about a person who is less qualified, less experienced getting GC in six months when you wait for 5-10 years. Its not about jealous, its about fairness and justice. Dont bring in EB2-EB3 here. We are all in this sh*&t togather.
At the end of the day what matters is you have an option open via this route. It is your personal choice if you would rather wait here 10 years or work in your home country for 1 year. Why shut a door that's meant for you? Opportunity is very hard to come by

I am not sure if USCIS will move beyond April 2004 until Jan 2009 due to the holidays and election and as someone said they want to take it easy. Even if they move the dates it does'nt help unless they approve cases with certain process in place.

I just spoke to a lady at USCIS and she told me they just started working on case receipts for July 2nd and onwards so in next couple of weeks most of you who filed in first week of july should see their receipts..this is what she told me and she sounded very authentic..
I think they are all on same page. Entering all applications in their systems by monday and another8-10 days for all to get receipts makes it 2 weeks :)

Leave the taxes, it was simply wrong on a wife's/husband's part to do ANY major money transaction without letting your other partner know. Its equivalent of cheating (just financial cheating). It is a letter by your I-485 attorney to USCIS mentioning your pending I-485 application (receipt numbers, filed where, including everyone part of the application), about your company securing I-140 approval under EB2 category for you and requesting to interfile this I-140 with pending I-485 and approval based on case is being current now (mentioning priority date). Copy of the I-140 approval notice (EB2) should be attached.
Some attorneys do attach I-485 receipt copies too. Also, your attorney may ask you to sign on the G-28 form that he/she is representing your case.

I guess we are here long on waiting for our green cards in the mean time I am suggesting we do a letter campaign to write in thousands to the USCIS director and lodge our protest about the problem the immigrant community is facing because of delays and irregularities in adjudication of EADs and APs. First and foremost things is a document which USCIS takes 6 months to Adjudicate is valid for 1 year which makes no sense.
Secondly USCIS should make efforts to make adjudicate it in not more than 2 months since we have to make travel plans etc. We should not be bounded by these documents. If for some reason it takes more than 2 months than 1 should able to get it via infopass, and a family member's death should not be the only reason to get the AP we are human beings and we have other social bondings too like marriages etc. I urge the core team to take steps to come forward a begin a campaign.... I guess this is the foremost need of the moment for 1000s of us..
