I am currently in US. I Have withCompany A for almost 2 years, I plan to do H1 transfer to Company B, Here I understand, I need to give last two months pay statements (ie., pay statement with Company A).
I can join in Company B at any time once H1 Transfer done.
At the same time, My Company A is planning to do H1 transfer to its sister concern Company C.
Scenario A)
Assume I transferred my H1b to Company B my own (using Company A's two month pay statement), then after 10 days
my present Company A transferred my H1b to Company C,
Ie., I gets pay statements from Company C.
Queries #1)
Can I join with Company B ?
Should I need to produce Company C's pay statement if I decided to join with Company B ?
Should I need to do another H1 Transfer to Company B ?
becz, I did H1 transfer to Company B before I join to Company C.

Just confirmed from IRS website I would not be getting the stimulus payment as wife is on ITIN. Missed out on the July stampede last year to get rid of the abominal H4. Looks like groups like FAIR have to engaged head on if any benefits to immigrants(any variety) are to be realized.

$20 (2% of $1000 monthly bill) * 2k ( 10% of 20k IV members) = 40K per month
I guess 10% people with $1000 monthly credit card bill is not too optimistic.. is it?
One simple way to measure this is, lets have poll. ( how do you create poll?) I have never done it before.

2) I prefer to use IV branded credit card, Let CC company pay 2% of my cc bill every month.

First of all, "promise to click 10 ads a day" does not seem like a good idea, and it will land IV in trouble if ever google ads show up on IV!
Now, when you read the following... YOU stands for each one of the people who are waiting for the IV credit card, the google ads, and similar such by-products of their apathy towards their own cause!
I am choosing the word "apathy" because IMHO waiting for google ads or the IV credit card is just another way to evade the question-- what have YOU done to help the only grass roots organization of volunteers like YOU who work tirelessly to get YOU out of this mess?
If clicking away 100 ads a day or paying for junk food with your IV credit card is the only way you can contribute, that's just lame!
And what is the guarantee this will work?
The IV credit card, if it becomes a reality, will not give YOU any cashback, and so YOU will continue to use your cashback generating costco amex cards and similar such credit cards.
The only common theme is... YOU want to find ways to evade contributing to IV.
Gosh... some of YOU folks are making IV sound like IT (Income Tax) :D

I agree with what you say. Yes, backlogged victims need some justice at this moment, otherwise there it is morally not good for everyone.
1. Why don't we petition first before thinking of Lawsuit. We from IV should write a letter to USCIS stating the injustice brought to the backlogged victims and how it is mentally affecting them etc. We should ask USCIS to consider these things and come up with a solution for backlogged victims instead of threatening DOS and others with Lawsuit. Since we are at their mercy, there is nothing wrong in keeping them higher up and at the same time getting what we want.
2. If the petition did not work out, then we can think about some suit. Still I don't agree with any suit as it is not going to bring justice. By the time the suit clears, you will have your GC in hand.

How can you say there is no stress for the person working at home, raising the family?
The poor H1 soul is constantly over-stressed as he is supporting a spouse and a child or even two children.
Imagine how the H4 spouse feels...he/she cannot do a thing to alleviate frustrations of his loved ones as her hands are tied..
I deeply care for my husband and I had lived through some agonizing days in the past when he was out of work, without salary etc..knowing how much he is in pain himself as everyone and everything depends on him, literaly....
We will be moving away soon 'cause we care too much for each other's happines to continue to live in the circumstances where we only suffer ...

You didn't specify if it has been 6 months since you had 140 approved through company A. Assuming it has been over 6 months (so company A won't revoke your 140), you can file for 485 and use the LC+140 of company A. You do not need an H-1 with company A as employment based GC is for future job not present job. The only risk involved is, if you apply for 485 which you are employed by company B, and if you get approval within 180 days (which I highly doubt) then you HAVE to go and work for company A for 90 days. If nothing happens for 180 days, you are safe.

I know understand why lawmakers want to club us with illegal aliens - because many of us, inspite of our so-called superior education, are in fact worse off than the illegals when it comes to putting up a united front against numbersUSA. So maybe we need the "cover" and "protection" of the illegals to get our provisions passed. Shame on us !!
As a member, I have full right to suggest a change of leadership when I think it can help.

I cannot believe that after everything that's happened over the last year or so, out of how many thousands of members of this group - just 199 of us called??
What are we doing as a group of people? Is it such a wonder that this country isn't moving on our immigration woes when we ourselves won't pick up the phone and talk to somebody about our troubles?
Wow-talk about complete and total apathy....I'm ashamed on behalf of each and every one those people who think they'll let someone else solve their problems - in which case I hope they don't ever complain about their lot in life. They have no right to.

The letter is a clear indication that Dept. of State and USCIS are not in sync. The concept of priority date apparently is only used by DOS and not the USCIS. God knows how PDs cutoff's are determined given this incoherency between USCIS and DOS.

Even mine is EB2 with level II. I did not see a single case from my company with Level III or Level IV but still a lot of them are EB2.
My 140 approval says: Mem of Profession w/Adv Deg, or Exceptional ability Sec 203 (b) (2).
My understanding: this is EB2.

It happened because of relentless canvasing of the media until the story got out and embarrassed the government. "Supporting the troops" is a no-brainer for a politician wanting to score political points. Most Americans could care less about immigrants or other citizens who are married to them. So there is no political urgency to solve that "problem." Although the media has reported that the exclusion of legal immigrants was "unintended," my sources say that the exclusion was intentional.
I had hoped to embarrass the government further by exposing the connection to a known "hate group," but the media has refused to report that part of the story. If I could get the media to expose the racist origins of this law, we might have some hope, but don't count on it.
The next phase is to focus on legal options.

I didn't find anywhere in the SKIL bill that says we can file I-485 even if the priority date is not current .Can somebody please point me to the paragraph where it is mentioned .
