i need to import a image file to fill as the surface material for objects in my movie but i tried to import eps files made in paintshop pro 7 and it says it can not import this, i want to ask how do i import an eps file and make it a material, pls help!

My wife who is a derivative applicant for the GC is employed on EAD. She has been advised to go on a pregnancy short term disability leave by the doctor. We live in California and her company provides the short term disability through the California SDI.
Is it ok to claim this while having applied for GC. Is the SDI by any chance considered a public charge? Any help would be appreciated.

Last Friday was a depressing day for me. A businessman and his daughter visited me in my office. I may be ignorant here but why do you have 2 I-94s? Your I94 is invalid once you leave the country. So I would think the number on the latest and current I94 is the number you would use.

The early retirement of US Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) has opened up an appointment opportunity for Governor Charlie Crist, himself a candidate for Martinez's seat. Crist will likely not appoint himself and a number of names are circulating for potential replacements. According to Politico, one person being considered is Jacksonville-area State Representative Jennifer Carroll. Carroll would be the first black female Republican Senator if she were selected. This is the scenario:
1. Husband becomes a LPR this year.
2. Wife still undocumented.
3. Wife was working long time ago, but became a housewife for the past 6 years, so no work.
How would the wife adjust her status under the new CIR if she was not working for the past 6 years?
Would she have to wait until the husband is able to petition her through other regular means?
Any ideas or is it too early to tell how USCIS will issue it's regulations about CIR?

As pappu stated in the first post of the above referenced thread - some of the ongoing efforts include finding how many IV members would get benefit from such a provision and get basic details such as username/Priority Date of impacted members. Future action items might include drafting documents and letters to support this provision. There maybe actions such as sending emails etc. However we would not be able to open a public action item unless we can have thousands of our members willing to participate in a grassroots action item. This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.
The fact is we have a dedicated group of volunteers (and we need more) who have been trying their best to spread the message about this initiative so that a strong grass-roots support can be created leading up to launch of the public action items. So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. Based on quick calculations carried out using PERM data, it is estimated that there are at least 60K-70K EB applicants waiting to file I-485/EAD/AP (this is a very conservative estimate..the actual number could be much more). Grass-roots initiatives require time and patience and we request maximum number of impacted folks to participate actively.

My current employer filed my labor and 140 in 2007 under EB3 and are also approved. Now I am planning to move to a different who is willing to start my GC under EB2. Now can i use 2007 as my priority date?

My Wife Has entered US with H4 on April 16th 2006
Her H1 Visa Approved for her on : Oct 1st 2007
Worked on H1 with an Employer: May 2008 to Oct 2008
Later: From Oct 2008 to Now -- NO PAYSTUBS
Her employer advises her to cancel her H1 and change back to H4. Will there be any problem with this? And how do we go about it.
Also to add to the problem, I have actually filed my H1Visa extension which expires on May 09 and got an RFE on the same. My Employer is responding to the same. Based on this case, How do I go about applying for my wifes change of status
Would appreciate your help on this

Hi Gurus,
I am planning to invoke AC21 thru H1 Transfer and then notify upon H1approval.
Do we need to make sure while filing H1 transfer, job duties on H1/LC should exactly match Labour Cert job duties?
I know while notifying it has to match.
Appreciate your help.

was here in the US in B2 visa. I applied for change of status (to F-1) and after waiting for several months, they told me that my request has been denied. What are the options that I have if I still want to stay in the US

I was laid off in Dec 2009, but severance will stop till early Feb. Now I found two potential jobs. Company A is a corporation in same state, but company B is a university in some other State.
1. How long will take them to transfer my H1B? does the different States matter on this transfer time? I want to make sure which one can submit the H1B transfer before my paycheck stops in Feb.
2. In order to apply for Green Card later, which job is better for Green Card application? I heard university will not help the staff (accountant) for Green Card application. Is that true?
