Good that the GOP nominee for the Senate in California is taking a centrist position, but its annoying to hear about being opposed to amnesty. I will be filing my EAD renewal end of this month at NSC.
Is e-filing faster than paper filing? Any suggestions?

Yes you can call them as many times as you want. If the case is serious you can request the Level 1 employees to escalate you to Level 2 and most of the times they will oblige.

i've been in the US on a f-1 visa since 2006. i am getting my masters at the moment. i am planning on getting married to my girlfriend who is a US citizen. i have been with her for the past 2 years and am dearly in love with her. we plan on getting married and i was wondering if i get married to her, can i apply for a green card right away or do i have to wait for a while before i can apply for a green card. she is also a student getting her bachelors.
my second question is that if i can apply for a green card then could i take a semester off and return to studying next semester or would that be a problem since i am on an F-1 visa.
i would appreciate it if i could get an answer soon so that i could take the semester off.

USCIS has announced that it is working on a rule to create an electronic registration system for H-1B employers subject to the annual cap. Employers would first register an application and be allocated an H-1B cap number and then would file the case. The idea is that employers would need to register to claim an H-1B cap number first and then if they are selected, they then would prepare and file the case. I used Ap in 2007 and than I filed H-1B extension 6 month prior to my H-1B expiring in sept 2008. which was approved with the sameI-94 as on parolee status.
I want to use AP again, is there any problem.

Hi,
I am currently working in Michigan. My PD is "Feb 2006" and my 485 has been filed during 2007 July fiasco. My 140 was approved in April 2008.
I planing to move a different company in Connecticut on my EAD ( valid till 2010 end). But Connecticut falls under Texas SC where as my GC is filed in Nebraska.
Do you feel this is an issue. What kind of headache this can cause?
My AP renewal is pending with Nebraska and I guess i won't get that before I move.

I was an employee with company A till march 2008 and i kept a H1b transfer to
company B on march 24th 2008. I was working to company B for an year
on receipt number applied for h1b transfer at USCIS. I got an RFE with
company B in sept 2008 mean while my I-94 got expired on August 2008.
Company B answered the RFE and submitted to USCIS on October 2008.
After waiting for H1B transfer to get approved it got denied on march 10th
2009.
Now i wanted to change my status from H1b to F1(CPT).My questions are
1. If i apply for transfer from H1B to F1 will i be getting New I-94 from
USCIS?
2. Should i be going back to india for getting stamped after i change my
status to F1 ?
3. Can i be on a student status from the day i receive the receipt notice
from USCIS for change of status ?

I'm presently on H4 in US and have got the H1B visa approval(Mostly I would get the I94 and wouldn't require stamping unless i leave USA) . Due to personal reasons I need to travel to India planning to go to India.
I would like to get the visa stamped in Tijuana before I go to India.
I have not yet started working with my employer.Infact I did not get my H1B approval papers yet nor have SSN till now.(approval of H1B is on Oct 16th 2007)
Since October has been crossed and i dont have a paystub(since my approval is late) my question is are there problem if the consulate officer asks about why i have come for stamping even before starting the job (since i have 194) and what if he asks for paystubs as iam going after october 1st.
Can anyone please help?

Employment based I485 is pending and priority date is not current, and wont be current until we have cars that fly. Have valid advance parole from EB I485. Plan to file a family based I485 next month and wait for receipt notice and then travel out of country.
Is it possible to return to US on the advance parole from EB I485 after filing FB I485? (Application for a second advance parole based on for the FB I485 will be pending as it takes ~3 months to process AP).
